Mller Weingarten Corp. Gets New President

Jan. 25, 2006
Steven W. Schroeder assumes leadership of American subsidiary.

Mller Weingarten Corp., the North American subsidiary of Germany's Mller Weingarten Group, started 2006 with a new top officer. Steven W. Schroeder assumed the role of president for Mueller Weingarten Corp. effective January 1, succeeding Richard Schmid, who retired.

Schroeder is described as a "press expert and extremely familiar with the market," who had been vice president of press manufacturer Komatsu for the past six years. "Managing the entire sales and service organization for all of Mueller Weingarten Corp.'s products to our customers in North America is an exciting opportunity which I am very much looking forward to," he stated.

During October, November, and December Schroeder traveled extensively to all of Mller Weingarten's manufacturing and engineering locations and many of their customer installations in Europe. He found that the company is highly regarded as a machine manufacturer, and that “We excel primarily by our innovative technology and excellent quality.”

He sees as his main tasks the further development of Mller Weingarten's service business in North America and the increase in new equipment sales. He places heavy emphasis on close contact with all customers in order to jointly develop application processes, products, and services that will enable them to achieve maximum profitability in their markets.

Schroeder has been involved in manufacturing engineering, production management, sales, and marketing for over 25 years. He holds an MBA from Lake Forest in the Chicago area. He is married and the father of three children.

Mller Weingarten, with offices in Madison Heights, MI, represents the Group’s complete range of products and services for forging, sheet-metal forming, and diecasting technology. For more information, access www.mwcorp.com.
