Earlier this year, Paul M. Murphy was appointed president of Stowe Machine Co., Inc. www.stowemachine.com , a subsidiary of Ladish Co., Inc.www.ladishco.com .
"Paul brings a wealth of experience to his new role as leader of our machining operation," said Kerry L. Woody, president and CEO of Ladish Co., Inc., at the time of the appointment. "He will oversee all aspects of Stowe's operation and its lean manufacturing initiatives."
Prior to joining Stowe, Murphy was General Manager and Partner at Precision Speed Manufacturing, in Windsor, Connecticut. Before that he had held senior manufacturing engineering positions at two other companies.
Murphy earned an Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Hartford State Technical College in 1980. He has been a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers since 1987 and holds a Six Sigma green belt.
Founded in 1947, Stowe Machine specializes in the precision machining of large and small components for aerospace equipment manufacturers. Stowe is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ladish.
