Flexible Approach to Axle Shaft Hardening

Inductoheat VSM-95 processes broad range of axle shafts
April 12, 2005

A major Midwest USA automotive supplier selected the Inductoheat VSM-95 based on the machine’s rugged design and flexibility afforded by its advanced PLC based controls.

The VSM-95, with options supplied, reportedly is able to process a broad range of axle shafts. Company officials say this is accomplished with the machine’s “motorized rotary tap switch” and “servo controlled upper carriage” assembly. Changeover between parts within a diameter range is fully automatic. Actual run data including critical processing parameters are uploaded to a central computer on each individual cycle that the machine processes.

Inductoheat, Inc, Madison Heights, MI, an Inductotherm Group company, is a major manufacturer of induction heating equipment and offers full service parts, coils, and repairs. Information is available at www.inductoheat.com.
