OELHELD U.S. is introducing AirForge 4027, a newly developed protective lubricant for hot forging of steel and alloys. Oelheld is a lubricant specialist that develops new products in partnership with manufacturers and research universities. The company’s forging lubricants are available for hot forming, with dispersions of micronized glass particles as well as graphite-free synthetic die materials.
AirForge 4027 is recommended for applications requiring resistance to oxidation, gas diffusion and heat. It is colorless and graphite-free, and allows clean work and shop-floor conditions.
AirForge 4027 is diluted in water and can be used either by dipping or spraying the metal blanks.
As explained by the developer, the product provides excellent results in a wide range of operations, even on challenging workpiece shapes. It is free of lead or any other toxic components and does not contain solvents.
