Upgrades are coming for Tesla electric vehicles aimed at ending a common fear for EV owners, and possibly the need to ever steer again.
One of the biggest concerns voiced by EV drivers, is running out of juice before reaching a destination or charging station. It’s called ‘range anxiety,’ but CEO Elon Musk now says with the car’s new trip planning feature, it’s almost impossible to lose a charge completely before reaching a charging point.
Also coming soon for Tesla owners, a feature Musk called ‘auto pilot.’ He clarified, it doesn’t make it a self-driving car, but the Model S will go from San Francisco to Seattle with little interaction from the driver.
Tesla owners won’t have to bring their vehicles in to get the upgrades. Everything will happen wirelessly within the car’s operating system.
