RX3 Walking Floor Drive Offers Thermal Protection for Waste Fleets
Keith Manufacturing's RX3 Technology is a heavy-duty walking floor drive engineered for waste and recycling applications, including transfer station and fleet environments handling abrasive, heavy bulk materials. It's the long-term replacement for the Running Floor II DX.
Thermal protection is built into the system via an over-temperature switch and electric heat sensor that monitor system temperature and react before damage can occur, helping prevent heat-related failures and protecting hydraulic and mechanical components.
The hydraulic circuit includes an oil pressure filter to promote cleaner oil and monitored inlet conditions, contributing to smoother performance and longer component life. Internal check valves and fewer overall parts reduce complexity, eliminate adjustments at the switching valve, and minimize potential leak points. The simplified layout is intended to ease field troubleshooting, speed service, and lower total maintenance costs.
Controls pair an automatic switching valve with electronic controls and optional manual control. The architecture supports more automated operation, reduces operator error, and simplifies training. The hydraulic design allows unloading at variable speeds—from extremely slow to extremely fast—to accommodate tight facilities or high-throughput discharge requirements.
