XRAY-S-5800 Robotic Gripper Handles High-Acceleration Loads
Zaytran's XRAY-S-5800 robotic gripper is a double-rail industrial gripper for large-part automation systems that operate at high acceleration and higher robot velocities. It is intended for applications where robots handle heavy components and generate significant side and moment loads during transfer.
The gripper uses dual machine-tool bearing rails to sustain loads created during multi-G acceleration and deceleration. This rail configuration supports stability when transferring large components, such as engine blocks, between automation stations while reducing cycle time.
The XRAY-S-5800 delivers 1,300 lb (5,800 N) of gripping force per jaw and supports torque loads up to 1,020 ft-lb (1,400 Nm). These capabilities allow robots to operate at higher speeds without sacrificing part stability during handling.
The gripper is available with analog and digital scale options that indicate slide position and confirm part size. These features allow multiple product variants to run on the same automation line.
An optional Power-Out-Brake mechanically locks the jaws if pneumatic pressure is lost, helping reduce the risk of part drops during power outages. The design supports high-throughput automation environments that require consistent part retention under varying operating conditions.
