MasterHandler Electric Tugger Gains Drift Control in Tight Spaces
MasterMover has upgraded the design of its MasterHandler electric tugger for complex wheeled loads in space-restricted industrial environments. The latest version builds on the MasterHandler range to improve control of four-swivel and mixed-caster load configurations, addressing load drift that commonly occurs during movement.
The upgraded tugger combines a compact footprint with a maximum load capacity of up to 13,000 lb (5,897 kg), allowing a single operator to move heavy loads while maintaining control. A stabilizing leg slides beneath the load to create a consistent control point, helping keep swivel-caster loads straight and stable throughout transport. A secure hydraulic connection positions the tug close to the load, improving maneuverability in confined spaces.
The electric tugger is designed to adapt to changing load setups. Coupling options can be configured to support different applications, including custom couplings developed to match specific requirements. Easy-swap batteries support continuous operation across multiple shifts.
The MasterHandler range includes optional electric steer upgrades that add advanced steering and control functions for handling long, heavy, or awkward loads. Additional upgrade options include remote control for improved visibility during positioning, MultiLink synchronization to combine the power of multiple tuggers, and AutoSteer with automated line-follow capability for applications requiring repeatable accuracy.
Standard safety features across the range include safety lights, warning horns, emergency stop controls, and anti-crush buttons. Optional cameras are available to improve visibility and positioning accuracy.
The MasterHandler is intended for use in manufacturing and assembly, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and food and beverage production environments.
