CABLIblue 870 Blister System Produces Fully Cardboard Blister Packaging
IWK Packaging Systems' CABLIblue 870 Blister System is now available in North America. The machine produces fully cardboard blister packaging, including both the blister and the backing made from the same material. Its "card-to-card" blister technology creates securely sealed packages that are 100% recyclable in paperboard streams.
It offers a modular design that allows for different blister shapes and sizes, and the system can produce up to 22 large-capacity blister packages per minute. It can be used for medical technology, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, DIY articles, and other non-food items.
The system supports transitions from plastic to fiber-based packaging by using cardboard, which benefits from an established and widespread recycling infrastructure.
The CABLIblue 870 includes operating stations designed for accessibility and tool-free changeovers to help minimize downtime. The transport pallet is expandable for manual or automatic feeding processes, adjusts with a "click and tighten" motion, and sensors indicate when the pallet is locked in place. During operation, precise positioning keeps transport pallets under work stations without additional devices.
