Tychem 6000 SFR Coverall Provides Chemical and Flame Protection
Dupont's Tychem 6000 SFR is a lightweight hooded coverall for workers in chemical and flash-fire hazards. Suitable for applications in refineries, petrochemical plants, laboratories, maintenance operations, and fire departments, the coverall provides at least 30 minutes of protection against more than 250 chemicals, including toxic industrial chemicals, chemical warfare agents, and flammable organic solvents.
When worn over primary flame-resistant (FR) garments, the coverall offers secondary flame resistance and will not contribute to burn-related injury in a flash fire. The design includes a respirator-fit hood with a covered elastic face opening, taped seams, and a double storm flap closure with double-sided adhesive tape to help prevent chemical ingress. A chin flap with adhesive tape provides enhanced neck protection and a better fit with respirators.
Additional features include a nylon zipper with a large metal pull for easier donning and doffing, an elasticated waist, and covered elastic at the wrist and ankle openings for comfort and mobility.
