FLEXSPEC is a high-performance thermoformable sheet that combines WEAVE3D's patented composite lattice with heavy-gauge plastic sheet to create lightweight structural panels that can be used as an alternative to sheet metal. Designed to achieve bending stiffness equivalent to a range of steel and aluminum sheet metal gauges, the panels increase load capacity by up to 8x while reducing weight by as much as 70%.

The sheets can be processed on conventional thermoforming equipment and can be used for structural enclosures, vehicle panels, furniture, sporting goods, and impact barriers. By varying lattice spacing, material type, and base sheet thickness, the panels can be tailored to meet specific performance requirements.

FLEXSPEC is available in full sheets measuring 4 x 8 ft (1 x 2 m) or half sheets measuring 4 x 4 ft (1 x 1 m). Initial material variants include PP, PA6, and HDPE, with additional options planned. The product line includes sheets capable of replacing steel up to 14 gauge (0.075 in (2 mm)) and aluminum up to 8 gauge (0.128 in (3 mm)).
