K2 and K2 Pro 3D Printers Offer AI Error Detection and Multicolor Printing

The K2 and K2 Pro desktop 3D printers, designed with metal frame construction and advanced step-servo systems, support multicolor and multimaterial printing. Both printers can be paired with up to four CFS units for a maximum of 16 colors. CFS provides snap-away or water-soluble supports, automatically detects filament type and color with RFID filaments, relays printing if material runs out, and maintains filament dryness with built-in desiccants. A display shows internal humidity, temperature, and the number of connected CFS units.

The K2 and K2 Pro feature die-cast aluminum alloy frame parts with a rigid steel linear rail on the X-axis, ensuring stable toolhead movement and consistent precision. Their step-servo motor system enables extrusion at speeds up to 24 in/s (600 mm/s) with acceleration up to 66 ft/s² (20,000 mm/s²).

The K2 Pro incorporates active chamber heating up to 140°F (60°C), an enclosure, a hardened steel nozzle capable of 40 mm³/s extrusion, and a powerful cooling fan. These features allow printing with demanding materials such as PA-CF and PPA-CF. The K2, without active heating, is suited for materials like ABS and PLA-CF.

Integrated cameras enable AI functions across the series. Both models feature a chamber-mounted AI camera for error detection, including spaghetti warnings and build plate checks. The K2 Pro adds a nozzle-mounted AI camera for functions such as auto-adjusting flow rate and detecting waste chute blockages.

Additional features include Smart Auto Levelling, a 4-in touchscreen interface, Quiet Mode operation, USB & Wi-Fi connectivity, and internal storage capacities of 8GB on the K2 and 32GB on the K2 Pro. The K2 Pro also includes an Ethernet port for professional workflows.
