Apollo PowerPress LD Expands Large-Diameter Piping Options
The Apollo PowerPress LD is a large-diameter extension of the Apollo PowerPress product line for industrial piping systems. Available in 2.5, 3, and 4 in (6, 8, and 10 cm) sizes, the system is designed for a wide range of industrial applications and large-scale projects.
Sealing element options include HNBR or EPDM with zinc-nickel coatings for corrosion resistance and sealing reliability. HNBR is suitable for process piping, LP/natural gas and fuel oil delivery, industrial gas distribution, heating fuel oil, engine oil, and hydraulic fluid lines. EPDM supports industrial hydronic heating and cooling, low-pressure steam, industrial gas systems, fire protection lines, and process or utility water systems.
The system incorporates Leak Before Press technology, preventing unpressed connections from holding pressure to improve installation safety. Smaller Apollo PowerPress sizes (0.5 to 2 in [1 to 5 cm]) feature a color-coded visual control ring with breakaway tabs for quick verification of completed connections.
The large-diameter Apollo PowerPress LD uses color-coded Visu-Control foil, which splits for easy removal after press completion, enabling rapid identification of unpressed connections before pressurization.
Compatible with Ridgid and Milwaukee press tools, the system allows faster installations using commonly available equipment. A full-port flow design maximizes flow rates for greater system efficiency.
