    SafeMotion Monitor SMM2.0 Adds Support for More Motor Types

    The SafeMotion Monitor SMM2.0 is a functional safety firmware upgrade that expands compatibility beyond the 2G Motion System. The firmware now supports any motor equipped with a HIPERFACE-DSL rotary-safe feedback system, including the AKM2G and AKMA motor lines, allowing broader integration in applications such as material forming, multi-axis measurement equipment, food processing, and packaging.

    The SMM2.0 upgrade includes a second instance of Safe Operating Stop (SOS), which offers greater flexibility in machine design. It also helps users meet evolving global functional safety regulations with a suite of 16 safety features, including SafePosition, SafeStop, and SafeSpeed.
