Controlled Containment System

July 10, 2019
HEMCO's controlled containment workstation safely contains and controls airborne particulate from sampling procedures.

CCS Controlled Containment System is engineered to safely contain and control airborne particulate from sampling procedures. Drums or equipment can be easily rolled into the enclosure through the strip curtain entrance, while both the process and surrounding environment are protected from contamination. A downward flow of HEPA filtered air maintains a cleanliness level at drum or working height while all exhaust air exits out through HEPA filters in the rear wall at floor level. The interior is under slight negative pressure to ensure that no contaminant escapes out of the enclosure.

The CCS Enclosure locates directly on the existing floor. Optional roll & set casters are available for mobility, electrical and plumbing service fixtures, tables with work surfaces, and enclosure floors are available.

  • Standard sizes are 6’ X 4’, 6’ X 6’, 8’ X 4’,and 8’ X 6’. Sizes can be customized to meet your laboratory needs.
  • Fluorescent lighting, Fans, gages, controls and electrical are provided.
  • Floor mounted containment booths are available in either unitized (pre-assembled) or modular ( assembled on site) construction.
  • Modular wall and ceiling panels for ease of assembly.
  • On the front of the unit is a clear vinyl strip curtain that allows easy access to move pallets or drums in and out. An air-gap underneath the vinyl strip curtain ensures an inward flow of air, that sweeps across the floor.
  • Features HEPA filtered air supplies and HEPA filtered exhaust air, to ensure a clean work zone free of contamination. A safe change filter housing can be incorporated into the system if required.
  • Extraction fans are automatically controlled to ensure near constant air flow in order to compensate for filter loading.
