ARCHBOLD, OHIO - Contur® Modular System Scaffold from Archbold, Ohio-based Bil-Jax, Inc. allows contractors to fit scaffold right up to structures with complicated or unique shapes. Traditional frame scaffold is limited to configurations based on 90º angles. The Contur Modular System Scaffold rosette is designed with eight holes - four which allow connection at 90º and four elongated holes that provide “automatic angles” allowing members to be connected at any angle between 30º and 60º. The rosette is also designed to nest together during transportation and storage so it takes up less room and does not roll around. Contur Modular System Scaffold uses diagonals in compression and tension and can reduce the amount of scaffold components needed by as much as 30% in certain applications. Bil-Jax has recently introduced the next generation of Contur Modular System Scaffold. The redesigned wedge housing provides greater surface contact which yields a better bending moment. Additional benefits include easier component alignment and assembly, full compatibility with the current Contur Modular System Scaffold and it is more competitively priced. Bil-Jax has a staff of trained application engineers that can help contractors design scaffold to fit around almost any structure. Since 1947, Bil-Jax has become the leading manufacturer of scaffolding, aerial lifts, equipment trailers, and portable staging and bleachers. Bil-Jax offers more than 6,000 different components for the construction, industrial and rental equipment industries. Its ISO 9001-2000 certified facility occupies 325,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space in Archbold, Ohio.
