With features that include power factor correction; auto-selectable AC inputs; overvoltage/load & temperature protection; and full safety approvals, these economic power supplies are an ideal choice for a wide variety of industrial applications requiring compact construction, high output power density, safety approvals, high efficiency operation and low cost. Six standard models operate from auto-selectable inputs of 90 to 132 VAC or 180 to 264 VAC; providing tightly regulated single outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 18, 24, or 48 VDC. Standard features include power factor correction to EN61000-3-2 class "A", tight line/load regulation of 1.0% max., input/output isolation of 3,000 VAC, a low leakage current of 3.5 mA max., 20 mS hold-up time and efficiency to 80%. All models are protected for over current, over voltage, over temperature and short circuit faults. Peak power capability is 600W for 500 µS. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the RL9827Sx series is greater than 1,000,000 hours. The series is certified to CE and approved to UL60950, CSA C22.2 no. 60950, and TUV EN60950. All models meet CISPR 22/EN55022 class "B"; EN61000-3-2/3, EN61000-4-2/3/4/5/6/8/11 and EN55024 EMC standards. The RL9827Sx family is packaged in a compact 5.0 x 3.2 x 1.5 inch U-channel case. All connections are made to easily accessible molex connectors. Each model is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of 0°C to +50°C (ambient) with 16 CFM forced air (100W continuous is allowed with convection cooling).
