New Intrinsic Safety Isolators Significantly Reduce Cabinet Space Requirements
TWINSBURG, OH – Pepperl+Fuchs introduces C-Series Intrinsic Safety Isolators - the latest addition to the popular and reliable K-System family of plug-in intrinsic safety isolators that will be introduced at ISA Expo 2006, October 17-19, in Houston TX. Only 12.5 mm wide, the C-Series can reduce cabinet space requirements by more than 37%. Their low power dissipation keeps the cabinets cooler and increases the life of the modules.
C-Series modules are not merely another intrinsic safety system. They represent the smallest member of the K-System family while providing all of the same features and operational quality as the existing devices, at no additional cost to the user, including:
The C-Series features a SIL 2/3 rating and can be combined with 20 mm and 40 mm F-Series K-System isolators making hazardous location applications more economical, simple to design and easy to install. Additionally, the C-Series facilitates online communication between the control system and HART capable field devices, as digital-to-analog signals can be transmitted without additional wiring.
