Gas Dispersion Impeller from Chemineer Increases Mass Transfer Rates by 60%

The BT-6 Gas Dispersion Impeller from Chemineer features a unique blade geometry that efficiently disperses gas in liquids for greater mass transfer. The Chemineer BT-6 Impeller utilizes a concave, vertically asymmetrical blade design that not only forces gas to the walls, but also distributes the gas throughout the entire liquid volume, bottom to top, resulting in superior mass transfer and uniformity. In comparative testing, the BT-6 increases the mass transfer rate by as much as 60% when compared to a flat blade, disc-style D-6 (Rushton) turbine. Chemineer BT-6 impellers are available in a 6-blade configuration with a choice of welded, bolted or bolted-adjustable blades. Standard materials of construction include carbon steel or 316 stainless steel. Special alloys are also available for unique applications.
