Editor's Note: This product listing was originally published on June 26, 2023, and was updated in July 2025 to include information on the new NOMAD XW Double-Girder Crane models.

What's New:

  • Added NOMAD XW Double-Girder Cranes with overall widths up to 70 ft (21 m)
  • Increased capacities up to 25 tons
  • Modular runway lengths with wider column spacing of 20 to 25 ft (6 to 7.5 m) or more
  • Higher hook heights for larger loads and expanded applications

Double-girder models have been added to the NOMAD Freestanding Crane line for heavy-duty operations, now including the new NOMAD XW Double-Girder Cranes. Standard NOMAD Double-Girder Cranes are available in widths up to 50 ft (15 m) and heights up to 25 ft (8 m), with capacities from 2 to 10 tons. The new NOMAD XW models expand this range with widths up to 70 ft (21 m) and capacities up to 25 tons, along with modular runway lengths with column spacing of 20 to 25 ft (6 to 7.5 m) or more, providing higher hook heights, wider spans, and larger lifting capacities.

NOMAD cranes are modular, flexible solutions for when traditional overhead cranes are too difficult or impractical to install. Designed for extremely heavy usage or when higher hook height is required for safe clearance, the base plate allows most NOMAD systems to be installed without footers. With bolted assembly, these cranes can be easily dismantled, relocated, and reassembled as needed.

All NOMAD Cranes are available for 1, 2, 3, or 4-cell manufacturing systems, featuring safety-enclosed-type runway electrification, welded brackets on runway support columns, and conductor bars installed in the field. Each system comes complete with mounting plates, bolts, bumpers, and top-running end-truck travel speeds of 80 or 120 FPM (VFD). Wire rope hoists provide lifting speeds of 16/2.6 FPM with trolley speeds of 65 FPM (VFD). Bridge conductor cables are pre-wired to quick-disconnect plugs.

NOMAD Crane Solutions come standard with radio controls and include a hand-held AAA-operated radio controller, with rechargeable models and a back-up pushbutton station available as options.

EMH can also retrofit existing NOMAD cranes with double girders to increase capacity and span when needed.
