Automotive A10 Series Relay with Dual Relay Option

Nov. 15, 2006
CIT RELAY & SWITCH announces immediate and continued availability of its automotive A10 Series relays. Small in size, these ultra light-weight automotive relays offer contact arrangements of SPST N.O., and SPDT on both the single and the dual styles. Both styles offer PCB pin mounting and contact ratings up to 30A@14VDC. The A10 Series withstands high temperatures – the operating temperature is up to 105°C. Offering contact resistance of <30 milliohms initially, the maximum switching power is 420 watt with max switching voltage of 28VDC and max switching current of 40A On; 30A Off. (Current flow 3 seconds maximum with make/break ration of 1:10) CIT QS9000 and ISO9002 certified manufacturing insures quality and continuous reliability. Standard, RoHS lead free, environmentally friendly (no cadmium) contacts are AgSnO2. Electrical life of the A10 Series is typically 100K cycles, 20A@14VDC with mechanical life of 10M cycles. Insulation resistance is 100MW at 500VDC. The dielectric strength of the A10 Series coil to contact is 500Vrms minimum at sea level and contact to contact is 500Vrms. Shock resistance is 300m/s2 for 6 minutes with vibration resistance of 1.27mm double amplitude 10~40Hz. Copper alloy terminal strength is 10N. Solderability is 260°C for 5 seconds with operating temperature of -40°C to 105°C and storage temperature of -40°C to 155°C. The A10 Series measures in at 12.0mm x 12.9mm x 9.9mm and weigh 4g. The Dual Relay style is slightly larger at 23.8mm x 12.9mm x 9.9mm and weigh 8g. The A10 Series relay applications include automotive and lamp accessories. Volume pricing ranges from $0.48, dependent upon coil, contact configuration and volume.
