Grinder Safety Video

Annandale, N.J. —Ingersoll Rand has released a grinder safety video titled, “It’s in Your Hands: Air Grinder Safety” to educate industrial and automotive professionals on safe usage of Ingersoll Rand grinders in the workplace. The video program addresses common safety issues and is accompanied by companion materials as a value-added service for tool users. Ingersoll Rand encourages distributors to schedule informational sessions with customers where the video can be viewed and safe grinding operation promoted. “Preventable accidents are simply an unacceptable occurrence within the industry today,” said George Cox, marketing manager at Ingersoll Rand. “The grinder safety video can train operators to recognize and avoid routine hazards.” The 18-minute video focuses on potential risks, preventive measures and the role operators play in workplace safety. The program features six sections and includes material on codes, standards and documentation, personal protective equipment, air delivery system safety, abrasive wheel handling and mounting, protective grinder features and safe grinding techniques. The video is available in English, Spanish, German, Italian, French and Chinese.
