Renewed Wind for Respirator Market With New 16mm Brushless Motors

April 13, 2007
Portescap, a Danaher Motion company, introduces 16mm Brushless Motors. Weighing just 33 grams, these motors provide 50 watts of power at up to 60,000 rpm in a compact 16mm housing, with incredibly quiet 39 dB operation. Additionally, a new internal design achieves a 10% reduction in length and as much as a 400% reduction in vibration, with a 10% increase in power compared with previous Portescap brushless motors. “With an average 3dBA reduced noise level and 10% lower inertia, these 16mm brushless motors represent the lightest weight, quietest and most energy efficient motors ever available from Portescap. They will maximize patient comfort, and are truly an ideal motion control solution for compact respiratory support equipment,” says Dave Beckstoffer, Portescap Product Manager.• Voltage – 12vdc • Diameter – 16mm • No Load Speed – 8150RPM • Max Cont.
