Supreme 3ANHT Epoxy Adhesive Features Optimal Bonding Performance

June 12, 2008

A thermally conductive, heat-cured epoxy adhesive and sealant, called Supreme 3ANHT is a superior thermal conductor with the conductivity of 3.5 W/m-K (24 BTU•in/ft2•hr•°F) but nevertheless features convenient handling along with optimal bonding performance. Supreme 3ANHT forms strong, exceptionally tough bonds which are remarkably resistant to severe thermal cycling and many chemicals including water, oil, fuels, and most organic solvents even upon prolonged exposures.

It offers superior resistance to impact, thermal shock, vibration, and stress fatigue cracking while maintaining the moisture, creep, corrosion, and thermal resistance typical of epoxy resin adhesives over the wide temperature range of -75°C to +180°C (-100°F to 350°F).

Being a one-part system, no mixing is required; and working life is unlimited, as Supreme 3ANHT never cures at room temperature. It can be applied without sagging or dripping even on vertical surfaces and cures readily in 20-30 minutes at 120°C and in only 5-10 minutes at 150°C. Adhesion to metals, glass, ceramics, wood, vulcanized rubbers, and many plastics is excellent. While the hardened adhesive has outstanding thermal conductivity, it is also a superior electrical insulator. Supreme 3ANHT is recommended for use in aerospace, electronic, electrical, automotive, and chemical applications especially where convenient handling and rapid curing along with outstanding physical properties all are of critical importance. It is available in pint, quart, gallon, and 5 gallon containers.
