Corner Wrap Labeling System Handles Empty Boxes with Care

July 24, 2008
ID Technology, a division of Pro Mach and a leading provider of labeling, coding and marking solutions, now offers a system to print and apply multi or single panel labels to empty boxes. The system accommodates cartons from 10” up to 24” and features a conveyor with variable speed side belt and idle rollers which gently drive the empty carton through the system. The lower durometer belt and rollers apply even pressure and reduce friction, preventing marring, crushing or collapsing of the empty boxes thereby providing the optimum surface for label adhesion. The industrial IDT 250 Printer Applicator uses thermal transfer technology to print and apply variable information labels on-line, producing crisp barcodes, text and graphics at speeds up to 12” per second on a variety of label substrates. Options include a variety of scanners, verifiers and counters. The system can also accommodate inkjet printers and a variety of other labeling, coding and marking devices.
