LS-TitanTM family of safety-rated limit switches are engineered to limit the potential for tampering with equipment safeguards. It features more than 100 switch models are offered in the LS-Titan family, providing a solution to a wide range of packaging, material handling and OEM applications. The LS-Titan family includes safety limit switches and safety interlock switches. The entire line features positive opening contacts per International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and European Standard (EN) 60947-5-1.“Eaton continues to offer state-of-the-art products and services that improve safety, while making processes more efficient,” says Cory Nichols, product manager at Eaton. “The safety-rated limit switches help protect personnel from injury by limiting the ability to override or bypass safe guards.”Designed for application flexibility, safety limit switches are the core of the LS-Titan family. These miniature-DIN (IEC type) switches are modular, with a wide selection of interchangeable heads that can be rotated in four different directions. Switches are available as complete (composite) units or as separate (modular) components. Depending on application requirements, LS-Titan switches can be ordered in insulated plastic or metal enclosures. In addition to a large selection of safety limit switches, the LS-Titan family includes the first electronic safety position switch. With solid-state outputs, the innovative electronic safety position switch (LSE model) is available in two variants: •An analog output model with a 4 to 20 milliamperes (mA) or 0 to 10 volt (V) signal •A trip-point selectable model, easily adjusted with a screwdriver •LSE models are TÜV-Rheinland® Functional-Safety certified and include built-in safety features.
