Remote Area Lighting Systems

Aug. 28, 2012

Pelican™ Products, Inc., announced today that their Advanced Area Lighting Group, has rolled out refined and more powerful versions of their 9460 and 9470 Remote Area Lighting Systems (RALS). The 9460 RALS and 9470 RAL are part of Pelican’s line of area lighting systems that provide convenient and ecologically responsible alternatives to wasteful generator powered lights. Both lights have been engineered with the Intelligent Control System which calculates and displays current battery life, allows the user to regulate the intensity of the light and choose the desired run time. Built with versatility in mind, the 9460 RALS features two swiveling telescope masts (each extends to nearly 6 feet) and two 360 degree articulated light arrays. The system’s next-generation LEDs and dual power modes (with individual water-proof switches) combine to radiate up to 6,000 lumens. Powered by a rechargeable battery, the system offers up to 7 hours of peak brightness with a variety or extended run times.

Built self-contained in a tough-as-nails 1510 Case, the 9460 is compact and provides easy ground transport with a pull handle and stainless steel ball-bearing, polyurethane wheels. For large area illumination, Pelican has created the 9470 RALS which features 24 LEDs (6 each head) mounted on four 6-foot, telescoping light towers. The heads which sport variable brightness settings are powered by a 12-volt, sealed, rechargeable battery and combine for a peak intensity of 12,000 lumens. Self contained in the extremely durable Pelican 1610 Case, it features a pull handle and transit-friendly stainless steel ball-bearing, polyurethane wheels.   Both lighting systems are available in either black or yellow and backed by the company’s legendary guarantee of excellence.
