CGW-Camel Grinding Wheels introduces new rigid semi-flex discs, expanding its semi-flex disc line for aggressive grinding applications. The new rigid semi-flex discs are made with a stiff phenolic resin fiberglass backing, which is engineered to be stronger than plastic or vulcanized fiber backings for more control when grinding corners and edges. The new backing material also allows the disc to be used without a back-up pad for ease of use and cost savings.
The strong, phenolic backing on the rigid semi-flex discs prevents the discs from deforming due to use, heat or humidity and ensures unlimited storage life is possible. The rigid semi-flex discs can be used wet or dry and are available in 16-, 24- and 36-grit sizes, type 27 shape and in 4-1/2-, 5- and 7-inch diameters with 7/8 inch or 5/8-11 arbor holes. “Rigid semi-flex discs are great for tough applications like grinding fiberglass forms and shower surrounds,” said Joe O’ Mera, president, CGW-Camel Grinding Wheels. “CGW is proud to offer its customers strong tools for virtually any application.”
