Continuing to expand its line of energy efficient lighting for outdoor applications, MaxLite® announces the addition of its LED Flood Lights to the DesignLights™ Consortium (DLC) Qualified Products List (QPL). Part of the company’s award-winning MaxLED® line of innovative LED luminaires and lamps, the LED Flood Lights, which are replacements for up to 400-watt metal halide and high-pressure sodium outdoor lighting fixtures in the commercial and industrial communities, qualify for national rebates of up to $250.
“The addition of our LED Flood Lights to the DLC list is a testament to the high quality and energy efficiency of these outdoor lighting fixtures,” said Pat Treadway, vice president of product marketing and engineering for MaxLite. “These fixtures incorporate our patent pending optic and thermal technology which creates highly controlled beam types while increasing life and performance by effectively transferring heat from the LEDs.” The 70-, 100- and 140-watt fixtures replace 250-, 320- and 400-watt metal halide fixtures while delivering up to 9,600 lumens. The LED Flood Lights operate with a universal integral driver on electrical systems ranging from 120 to 277 volts. All fixtures are available in 5000K (daylight) correlated color temperature (CCT) and are available in National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) 5'x5' or 7'x7' distributions. The patent pending MaxFOCUS™ light collimator and thermal pressure plate narrows and focuses light to achieve tight cutoff light levels, while reducing operational temperatures through improved thermal transfer.
The IP65-rated and sealed fixtures are constructed with tempered glass lens and heavy-duty cast aluminum, one-piece housings that are polyester powder coated for durability. The crisp white light is enhanced with the black ceramic frit on tempered glass that reduces glare and improves the overall light finish. Multiple arms and mounting accessories are available.
