The LXT 971 torque transducer operates on the principle of magnetoelasticity with a range of 2.5 Nm to 500 Nm. The sensors output signal is caused by a change in the magnetic field created by an applied torque on the sensor’s shaft. Non-contact detectors, in close proximity to the shaft, detect changes in the magnetic field and provide an electrical signal proportional to the torque. The electronics in the sensor provide signal conditioning suitable for use in industrial and process applications. The zero output is 2.5v. The output span can range from 10mv/v to 2.5v in either direction. These units are in stock.
