Belt Conveyor Oven Preheats Electric Motor Rotors at 1,200°F
No. 830 1,200°F gas-heated belt conveyor oven employs 24-in. wide, 1 x 1 in. Type 304 SS flatwire conveyor belt, 54-in. long open belt loading zone, 105-in. long insulated heat zone with recirculated airflow, and a 36-in long open unloading zone. The belt moves at 15 fpm and is powered by a 3/4 HP motor drive.
The modulating gas burner has an installed 800,000 BTU/HR, while a 6,000 cfm, 5-hp recirculating blower provides vertical downward airflow to the workload.
It features 10-in. thick insulated walls, comprising 2” of 1900°F block and 8” of 10 lb./cu.ft. density rockwool insulation. This conveyor oven has an aluminized steel exterior, Type 304, 2B finish stainless steel interior, motor-operated vertical lift doors at each end of the heat zone and 1/4” plate work surfaces at each end of the oven. No. 830 is currently in use for preheating electric motor rotors at a customer’s location.
