Tom Englund joined Tobii in 2009 as president of the research and analysis division Tobii Pro. Under his direction, this division has expanded into new global markets and industries, greatly increasing the adoption of eye tracking as a research methodology within the academic and commercial sectors. Englund also leads the initiative at Tobii Pro that is helping businesses deal with the shift to industry 4.0. Applying the organization’s vast knowledge in analyzing visual attention data collected through eye tracking, the team identifies wasted steps and distractions on the production line to understand key influencers to workers behavior. Englund has an international background and, previous to joining Tobii Pro, he held various executive roles at both Atlas Copco and Accenture. He holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköping University in Sweden. Englund is based in Stockholm.
