Q-PAC Multimotor Plenum Fan to Be Featured at AHR Expo 2026
At the AHR Expo 2026, taking place February 2-4 in Las Vegas, Q-PAC will feature its Multimotor Plenum Fan (MPF), which is designed as a complete fan system rather than a field-assembled fan array. The fan, introduced ahead of last year's show, will be on display at booth #SU3536, where attendees can see a fully operational multimotor plenum fan system.
Multiple direct-drive motors operate together within a single plenum, allowing the system to continue delivering airflow if one motor goes offline. The remaining motors then automatically adjust, maintaining operation without a full system shutdown.
Using a single connection point rather than extensive field wiring, the fan is delivered pre-engineered and pre-wired as a compact, integrated unit for easy installs and to support retrofit projects for limited spaces.
At the center of the system is Q-PAC's patented Fan Controller, which consolidates power distribution, motor control, and communications inside the airstream. The controller requires only three-phase power and a 0 to 10V control signal and provides fused motor protection, motor status alarms, airflow reporting, and connectivity via Modbus RTU and BACnet IP for building automation system integration.
The MPF platform supports airflow up to 90,000 CFM per fan, with static pressure ranging from 1 to 9 in. w.c. (inches of water column). Users can reach higher airflows by combining multiple units, scaling systems beyond 350,000 CFM without any further wiring complexity.
The fan is available in drop-in or knockdown configurations, with standard production typically completed in about three weeks. For emergency replacement scenarios, Q-PAC offers an optional 48-hour quick-build program.
At AHR 2026, Q-PAC engineers will be available to discuss real-world applications, system sizing, and ongoing development work, including testing supported by the company's new airflow tunnel.
