Compressed Air is Not a Fixed Cost: How to Reduce Compressed Air Use in Drying and Blow-Off

Compressed air can account for up to a third of a plant’s electricity, and drying and blow-off is often the easiest place to cut it. Learn the ladder from open pipe to blower, how to pick the right option for each station, and a one-hour plant walk to start.

Most plants treat compressed air like the lights: always on, on the bill, and never questioned. Yet it is one of the most expensive utilities in the building, and in drying and blow-off a lot of it still leaves through open pipes and drilled pipes that waste air, raise noise, and can be a safety issue.

This webinar walks through a practical ladder of options, from engineered air nozzles to air amplifiers and low flow air knives to blower air knife packages that need no compressed air at all, with the published air reduction at each step.

Attendees will learn the five questions that tell you which option fits which station, what separates a well-designed air knife and blower from a lookalike, how to get more from the nozzles already on the line, and how to keep generate savings.
