Check out What’s New in Material Removal Products from ATI Industrial Automation!

Nov. 6, 2019
Automated Material Removal remains a new frontier for the automation and robotics industries.

Automated Material Removal remains a new frontier for the automation and robotics industries. There are more potential opportunities than can be counted, which is very exciting for an innovative robotic accessory manufacturer like ATI Industrial Automation. ATI’s Material Removal Product team has had a breakthrough year so far as they continue to design innovative solutions to serve this growing market.

Recently, ATI has updated the versatile Compliant Deburring Blade (CDB) with an option for Automatic Blade Changing. Taking inspiration from the company’s renowned Robotic Tool Changer, this option integrates a custom-designed blade changing collet, and robust tool stand for storage of additional blades.

For those looking to automate manual deburring methods, the CDB offers flexibility and reliability that is fast and easy to integrate. It performs light and medium deburring, chamfering, and scraping operations on materials such as plastic, aluminum, steel, and brass. The CDB’s axial and radial compliance is ideal for maintaining constant force where surface irregularities are present, ensuring the highest quality results.

ATI refreshed its signature Radially-Compliant Deburring Tools to include more robust components and increased functionality. Single-axis lockout enables the user to switch from full radial to 180 degrees of compliance quickly and easily.

ATI is going after more precise material removal tasks with the Compliant Reciprocating Tool. Its unique reciprocating motion enables filing applications along deep grooves, ideal for parts with geometric complexities.

Be sure to stop by ATI’s Booth (B29074) at the FABTECH Show in Chicago, Illinois, November 11 -14 to see each of these products and take in new application demonstrations. ATI looks forward to unveiling more innovative Material Removal solutions in the coming weeks!
