Safegate Muting Light Barrier

The Safegate Muting Light Barrier is the ideal solution for the protection of personnel working in applications such as palletizing, wrapping or conveying where the movement of goods must occur but the safety of the operator is paramount.

The Safegate features the perfect integration of the muting sensors, muting control, and muting logic, all built directly into the light barrier. The hardware configurable models allow for the configuration of the Muting logic and parameters via the main connector wiring while the programmable models can be configured via Safegate Configuration Software.

Flexibility is also paramount in a Muting integrated barrier and the Safegate series is the most flexible access control barrier on the market today. Each light barrier can be configured for “exit only” or “entry/exit” configuration. The configuration settings can be changed at any time, sensors can be upgraded, added or removed and photocell and sensor mounting brackets are available to meet the demands of even the most complicated application.

The cross-section of the Safegate is 2.2 x 2 in. (55 x 50 mm) with resolutions of 1.2 and 1.6 in. (30 and 40 mm), 2,3, and 4 beam versions with protected heights of 11.8 to 7.2 ft (300 to 2,200 mm). The Safegate has an operating temperature of -22 to 131°F (-30 to +55°C) and a protection rating of IP65 or IP67 making the Safegate series the perfect access control barrier for almost any application.
