 FREDERICKTOWN, OH, MAY 24, 2006 - Divelbiss Corporation, serving the electronic and industrial control industry since 1974, announces the PCS Programmable Logic Controller based on PLC on a Chip™ Technology. The PCS PLC is programmed using the Divelbiss EZ Ladder software, which supports Ladder diagram and Function block programming.

The PCS PLC supports up to 256 Digital I/O. There is a dedicated communication port for programming and monitoring when connected to EZ Ladder running on a PC. An optional second communication port is available in RS232, RS422, or RS485 and can be used with the Modbus Slave feature of the controller. Also available are 2 CAN ports. The Real Time Clock will allow the program to deal with hour, minute, second, month, day, year and day of week. Two high-speed counters can operate up to 100 KHz. There are six analog inputs rated 0 to 5 VDC or 0 to 20 ma DC and 4 analog outputs rated 0 to 5 VDC or 0 to 20 ma DC, also two PWM outputs. Included also in the PCS is a synchronous serial interface (SSI), which can be used with absolute encoders and other devices. Power for the unit can be 12-30 VDC or 10 VAC. Transformers are available for primary voltages of 24 VAC, 110 VAC and 220 VAC.

The PCS PLC has a fast scan time. A program with 75 rungs and 25 function blocks has a scan time of approximately 1 ms, using only 1873 bytes of the 64K program memory. The PCS PLC can be DIN rail mounted. The PCS PLC offers outstanding capabilities for the industrial control user in a small and very cost effective package.
