March 5, 2008
Winona, Minn., January 18, 2006 –To meet the changing demands of manufacturers, Thern Inc., has developed a line of portable davit cranes that increase workspace and mobility in manufacturing plants. Independent bases installed around the plant floor increase plant efficiency and allow for multiple workstation options using a single crane. Designed to handle manufacturing plants changing requirements for material movement, Thern’s portable davit cranes are easily disassembled for portability throughout the plant. Portable davits are fitted with hand or power operated winches and come in a range of sizes and capacities to meet any equipment or product-lifting requirement up to 2,000 pounds. Thern Davit Cranes are available in stainless steel, galvanized, or powder coated finishes that protect against corrosive environments in the plant. Additional features for portable davits include adjustable booms that help reach otherwise inaccessible locations, 360° rotation that increases operators access to loading and unloading areas, and a quick disconnect cable that lets manufacturing plant operators remove the cable from the crane leaving it hooked to the load.
