"Small" just got smaller. Donaldson Company, (NYSE:DCI), a leading, worldwide manufacturer of filtration systems, introduces the newest dust bin vent collector in the CPV family of dust collectors, the Donaldson® Torit® Torit PowerCore® CPV-1. The incredibly compact and robust CPV-1 dust collector is 20-70 percent smaller than other bin vent collectors on the market. It offers swift installation into the smallest and hardest to get to spaces, easier maintenance and greater design flexibility. The CPV-1 is an ideal dust collection system for a host of industrial manufacturing industries and applications where space is at a premium, including cement, grain, aggregates, iron and steel, glass, agro-foods and power generation. The low-profile design is most advantageous to the material handling industries where the CPV-1 allows positioning closer to the point of dust generation where a traditional bag bin vent would not fit. The CPV-1 provides the ultimate solution to filtering dust from bucket elevators, conveyor discharge points, pneumatic receivers, mixers, blenders and silos. The introduction of the CPV family of dust collectors in 2008 demonstrates that Donaldson Torit's state-of-the-art PowerCore filtration technology, using proven Ultra-Web nanofiber media, can meet the restricted space and rigorous filtration requirements of industrial manufacturers. Torit PowerCore CP filter packs are only seven inches tall compared to traditional 8- to 12-ft-long filter bags. Based on Donaldson's patented PowerCore media technology, each CP Filter Pack handles more air volume than six traditional bag filters thereby reducing the height of the collector 30-50 percent while maintaining long filter life. In addition, the new, smaller CPV-1 bin vent collector features single side access for all aspects of maintenance. Like other Donaldson Torit CPV dust collectors, the lower-profile allows positioning closer to the point of the dust generation and in tight spaces where a baghouse would not fit. The CPV-1 is designed with an integral blower that can be mounted top, back, left or right. A new vertical mounting option is also available for hard-to-fit applications. This design flexibility offers additional savings to the end-user in ducting and energy savings.
