Pepperl+Fuchs introduces IC-KP2-2HB18-2V1D IDENTControl compact RFID Controllers with CC-Link communication. CC-Link is a common upper-level bus system used almost exclusively by Mitsubishi PLCs. These CC-link RFID controllers also support CC-Link V2. This functionality facilitates extended cyclic settings resulting in a large data map, making it easier and faster to read and write large amounts of information to the RFID system.
These IP67 controllers are fully compatible with any Pepperl+Fuchs RFID read head for low frequency (125 kHz), high frequency (13.56 MHz) or ultra high frequency (915 MHz) operation. “This two-head controller communicates to both read/write heads simultaneously. It also incorporates a new advanced RFID protocol that provides positive feedback to the user when a new tag has arrived, and allows for large read/write data blocks that are limited only by the read/write head's internal memory size,” says Tim Cicerchi, Product Manager, Pepperl+Fuchs. Pepperl+Fuchs RFID controllers are the most rugged in the industry thanks to their powder-coated zinc alloy housing.
M12 connectors facilitate quick connection of the read heads, power, CC-Link in, and CC-Link out cables. A Y cable accessory is available that enables the CC-Link RFID controllers to be daisy chained and hot swappable without disturbing other CC-Link devices on the network. Also, a terminator is available for applications where the CC-Link RFID controller is the last device in line.
