EC 16 in 30W, 60W, Sterilizable and non-Sterilizable

Oct. 18, 2012
maxon’s EC16 brushless DC servo gearmotor has had a number of modifications and improvements. The most obvious changes are the 60° winding pattern, the NdFeB high performance magnet and the higher power output. Plus, the shortened motor type's sterilizable version. The EC 16 brushless dc motor is available with up to five winding types as well as with hall sensors or sensorless. Four high power brushless motors are available; 30 watt or 60 watt and sterilizable or non-sterilizable. The design features a torque/speed gradient reduced by approximately 60% and maximum continuous torque increased by approximately 80%. Other key improvements include higher stability, quiet running, larger bearings, higher forces, improved performance and higher torque. Coupled with gearheads that are also sterilizable this drive is ideally suited for the most demanding medical and hand tool applications. Please visit www.maxonmotorusa.com for additional information.
