AX8000 Servo Drive Systems Deliver High-Precision Positioning, Short Control Cycles

AX8000 servo drive systems meet high control speed and accuracy requirements while reducing installation space. Individual modules are 8.8 in. (223 mm) in height and 2.4 or 3.5 in. (60 or 90 mm) wide. One Cable Technology (OCT) cuts the amount of required motor cabling and connectors by up to 50% and includes cleaner cable runs to lower the footprint.

 

The EtherCAT-enabled drive system combines powerful FPGA technology, which employs a control algorithm with multichannel current control technology to enable sample and response times of less than 1 µs for current control. Depending on the frequency, velocity control cycle times are as low as 16 µs.
