Established in 1974, OTEK Corporation holds a rich history tied into Dr. Fest’s work with NASA. In 1967, Dr. Fest was recruited by NASA during his senior year at IIT as one of 400,000 engineers to work on Apollo 11. Dr. Fest remained with NASA through the landing of Apollo 15 on July 26, 1971. He created a custom electric R&D company in 1972–giving way to the birth of OTEK as it is known today.
