3M-Matic Random Case Sealer
In the age of ecommerce, everything is constantly changing, including box size. The automated 3M-Matic Random Case Sealer 7000r High Speed Pro allows various sized boxes to all run down the same parade route
without missing a beat, granted they are all between heights ranging from 3.25 and 27 in., length of at least 7 in. and width from 7 to 26 in. The system handles up to 28 boxes/min., and the AccuGlide 4 taping head’s delicate touch ensures high throughput without damage to the boxes.
HELITRONIC POWER DIAMOND 400
UNITED GRINDING North America, Inc.
Accommodating gantry-style loaders for up to 500 tools or robot loaders for up to 7,500 tools, the HELITRONIC POWER DIAMOND 400 grinding and eroding machine offers 35% more workpiece space with the capability to grind tools up to 380 mm in length. It features remodeled machine beds with enhanced rigidity for greater vibration dampening for improved part surface finishes and to ensure greater precision. A new worm drive for the C axis, optional torque motor and pneumatically driven steady rests and tailstocks from the HELITRONIC VISION series all serve to further improve grinding and eroding operations by reducing leaks and improving heat management for greater cleanliness.
Collaborative Robot Welding Package
Merging the user-friendly versatility of cobots with the calculated precision of automated welding, SnapWeld is a cobot-assisted, interactive welding system that can be deployed easily and flexibly in existing, manual welding booths, eliminating the need for costly new robotic cells. The welding system integrated with the UR robot is composed of a Profax wire feeder and water-cooled torch enabling welds up to 600 amps, with torch bracket, all cables and hose packages included. The simplified programming is enabled through direct software integration into Universal Robots own programming environment. This allows users to program advanced settings directly onto the teach pendant that comes with the UR robot.
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence
This 6-axis robotic arm, equipped with a RS5 scanner, fits all the needs of modern metrology, with world-class accuracy to within 6 microns. Because of the Absolute Encoder, which eliminates referencing, warm-up times and diagnostic reporting, users will see no reduction in accuracy even at full speed. It comes in three sizes, the largest weighing 9.5 kg, and has measurement radiuses from 1.2 to 4.5 m, and three levels of accuracy. The result is 36 unique arm configurations.
The Gecko Gripper was developed as a NASA replacement for Velcro, and a Jet Propulsion Laboratory engineer figured out how to use the van der Waals force to create a non-adhesive, super "sticky" gripper. Inspired by nature and the feet of a gecko, it employs an adhesive system with millions of fine fibers that adhere to the surface of the workpiece. In contrast to vacuum grippers, the Gecko Gripper can also handle perforated or porous workpieces, such as printed circuit boards, without any problems.
“The best way to create a safer work environment, when many issues are caused by forklifts, is to remove them entirely,” says OTTO Motors CEO Matt Rendall. Hence, his company developed the OTTO OMEGA, the first ever self-driving forklift. It uses the same sensing tech as self-driving cars for obstacle avoidance and can be trained to learn new skills. The OMEGA is totally driven by software, but with a semi-autonomous mode for humans to steer from behind to take on complex tasks, such as going up a ramp and into a tractor trailer. Available in 2020.

The patent-pending end-of-line solution Intelligent Illumination significantly changes the way operators maintain their machines. The concept is simple enough: blue light is good, red is bad. But, this basic spectrum could save manufacturers thousands of hours in wasted productivity. Intelligent Illumination essentially alerts end-user personnel on the floor of issues, then allows them to pinpoint and fix the problem without even consulting the Human Machine Interface. If the machine is running smoothly and requires no immediate attention, the LED lighting will glow with a soothing blue. In the event operator intervention is required, the LED lighting will switch from blue to amber, red, or other colors depending on the action needed.
The BionicCobot is a pneumatic, lightweight robot that is based on the human arm in terms of its anatomical construction and – like its biological model – solves many tasks with the help of its flexible and sensitive movements. Due to its flexibility and intuitive operability, the BionicCobot can interact directly and safely with people. In doing so, it supports workers doing monotonous jobs and takes over tasks that are dangerous for humans. The system recognizes the worker and their movements by their special work clothing. These wearables consist of a long-sleeved top, which is equipped with inertia sensors and a work glove with integrated infrared markers.
The TE 2000-AVR demolition hammer is the perfect blend of both power, ergonomics, and weight. At 26 ft-lb of impact energy, and 1,800 impacts per minute, the hammer boasts double the performance compared to tools in the same weight class (27-42 lb.), and similar performance to competitor tools in the 65-lb. weight class. Weighing in at 33 lb., it is easy to maneuver and transport throughout the jobsite, and is ready for use in minutes.
MiR500 Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR)
Mobile Industrial Robots ApS
With a lifting capacity of 500 kg, the MiR500 was designed specifically to replace lift trucks across a range of industries. It handles large pallets with ease; it automatically collects, transports, and delivers pallets with speeds of nearly 4.5 mph. An additional lifting device, depending on the type of pallet, can be attached to the top of its platform to raise or lower the pallets after it slides in or out of the specially designed rack, basically two opposing metal brackets spaced slightly wider than the robot. Relying on two 3D cameras that can detect objects 11 feet away, along with a SICK Microscan3 safety laser scanner system for 360-deg. coverage, it drives safely between objects, moving or stationary.
One of the best things about the XRIZE, the world’s first, true color desktop industrial 3D printer, is that it's as easy and safe to use as a regular 2D printer. With this, users can manufacture functional polymer and composite parts in full color due to the patented Augmented Deposition process that extrudes an engineering-grade thermoplastic and simultaneously jets cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. And because RIZE’s intelligent and innovative solutions focus on the user as much as the machine, XRIZE enables marking to provide much-desired IP security, traceability, and branding.
Combilift North America
The Combi-PPT (powered pallet truck), manufactured in the verdant Irish countryside, will have you feeling lucky it's assisting with your material handling. This walkie comes with standard lift capacities of 3,000 and 6,000 kg, and higher capacity models from 7,000 to 16,000kg are available on request. Featuring a unique, patented, multi-position tiller arm, the truck enables operators to stand at the side of the unit rather than at the rear, giving operators excellent visibility of even the bulkiest loads and their surroundings. The operator’s position also eliminates any possibility of crush risk when working in confined areas and prevents product damage.
