This application note describes methods of using a barcode scanner with GravoStyle5 to open engraving jobs and/or enter data to be engraved. Using a barcode scanner with GravoStyle5 can greatly improve productivity and reduce costs by minimizing data entry errors and speeding processes. Engraving jobs can be designed in advance by a designer or engineer and later utilized as a template by an operator. The operator focus is on the marking operation since all object locations, attributes and engraving parameters in the job are pre-defined. This process separates the job creation from the engraving process resulting in improved efficiencies in a production environment.
