ABB’s Measurement Products’ business announces a 12-page, full-color brochure that describes actuators and positioners for operating final elements such as control valves, butterfly valves, dampers, and louvers. The brochure notes that ABB Contrac part-turn and linear electrical actuators provide up to ten years of maintenance-free operation. Additional benefits include self-diagnostics and a choice of integrated, field, or rack mounting options for power electronics units. Next the brochure covers the EDP300 and TZIDC series of digital positioners. The EDP300 series delivers premium performance with an air capacity of 23 scfm (50 kg/h) at 145 psi (10 bar) along with enhanced pressure-based diagnostics. In customer trials, TZIDC positioners have provided more than 1,000,000 strokes without any deterioration in performance or fault or interruption. The units offer remote communication via 4-20 mA HART, PROFIBUS PA or FOUNDATION field bus.
