Kurt Hydraulics’ new Kurt Tuff Spiral Flex Hydraulic Hose is engineered for rugged, high pressure hydraulic applications up to 6235 PSI. Designed for applications with minimal space, Kurt’s unique design provides bend capacity of 8.25 inch to 9.5 inch depending on hose diameter selected. Reinforced internally with four spiral layers of high tensile steel wire braid, Kurt Tuff Spiral Flex hose has a very durable oil, ozone and abrasion resistant synthetic outer cover. It has ten times the abrasion resistance compared to standard hose cover, reports Kurt Hydraulics. Impulse tested for up to 1,000,000 cycles, Kurt Tuff Spiral Flex hose withstands temperatures from -40°F up to 250°F and meets flame resistant MSHA designation. It meets or exceeds requirements of SAE DIN 20023.
Applications for Kurt Tuff Spiral Flex hoses include a full range of heavy-duty applications, including construction equipment, trucks, and demanding injection molding systems. Available in diameters of ¾ inch, 1 inch and 1-¼ inch ID, Kurt Tuff Spiral Flex hose may be combined with many Kurt coupling styles that are specifically designed for heavy duty applications where shock and vibration are present.
