IAC Industries introduces Smart Mobile Stations (SMS). Smart Mobile Stations are a new series of mobile utility carts that enable users to take computers, printers, scanners, files, tools, and other equipment anywhere there are tasks to be accomplished. In essence they are mobile workstations that deliver a new level of efficiency to tasks such as scanning, inventory control, stocking, weighing, order picking, diagnostics, printing, and testing. Smart Mobile Stations, in their most basic configuration, begin with a heavy-gauge steel cantilever base rolling on no-mar polyurethane total lock caster wheels with locking brakes that lock the rotation and swivel of the caster wheel. Rising from the rear of the base is an extruded aluminum channel structure (known as the space station extrusion) that incorporates up to 10x 110VAC electrical outlets with a master switch and 8 ft. power cord. The aluminum upright is extremely strong and structurally sound. 

A main worksurface with ergonomically-positioned guide handles, along with various shelving, lighting and accessory options, attach to the upright with infinite positioning along the full height of the upright. Smart Mobile Station carts are offered in two primary series: Standard and Premium. Most models, including base and casters, stand 68.5-inches tall, with a shorter 48.5-inches model also available. The Premium series features the addition of a rechargeable battery pack for cordless power. The 12VDC battery pack converts to 110VAC, 750W output, and provides up to 1500 watts of startup surge draw. The battery pack recharges automatically when plugged in and includes a digital battery charge indicator on its front panel. Standard and Premium series are otherwise identical in configurations and options, and all exhibit the detailed fit and finish that IAC Industries is known for. Optional accessories include suspended drawers and lockers, flat panel display arms or mounting brackets, CPU holder, keyboard tray, notebook shelf, wire management channel, ESD surface laminate, lower shelf, pull out printer shelf, documents holder with swing arm, label holder, bar code reader holster, and more.
