I-Mark™ I-Series (Integration) dot peen and scribe marking systems from Columbia Marking Tools (CMT) give users maximum flexibility with standard features that are typically offered by other manufacturers at extra cost.  This model, specifically designed for easy integration into automation systems, is ideal for a wide range of applications and materials.

The I-Mark I-Series is available in standard dot peen and “Silent Scribe” versions.  Both can mark at speeds of 4-5 characters per second, including 2D/UID machine readable codes.  The Silent Scribe model can also mark CMT’s patented, high-resolution Square-Dot® 2D code.  With three mounting sides to choose from, these versatile systems fit easily into production equipment.  Optional features include small and large marking windows, an additional debris shield for industrial environments, extended pins for marking in recesses, and extra-long cables to position the controller farther from the marking head.

The I-Mark I series is easily programmed with the I-Mark Windows® software, which feature a graphical user interface.  It can be programmed remotely, via LAN, or directly, with a dedicated PC.  The marking layout is shown on the screen, where serial numbers, date codes and other information can be placed and sized according to application requirements.  Neither the software nor the PC are required for operation after the marking layout has been programmed.  The I-Mark system, when integrated into an automated operation, is controlled via Ethernet IP, I/O, Modbus, or serial port. The new and improved I-Mark software allows the direct importation of DXF vector files, a common logo format.  It also has additional standard features to enhance performance and integration.  “Waypoints” help create a workpath around objects for the marking head.  Detailed log files can be easily reviewed to optimize cycle time, and the marking process can be remotely monitored. The I-Mark I-Series marking heads and controller are designed for 24/7 use.  The head has a solid aluminum frame for durability, and high-torque motors help assure precision marking in any orientation.  The NEMA 4 controller offers a wide range of communication options and has four mounting holes for quick placement in automation.  I-Mark I-Series Integration Systems are easily programmed and provide reliable marking for automated applications.
