The LF500RU series is a family of miniature SMT mountable 5W DC/DC converters. These converters combine high performance features such as a wide 4:1 input range, tight line/load regulation and low noise operation with a compact SMT package. Fourteen models operate from wide 4:1 inputs of 9 to 18V or 18 to 75V; providing single and dual outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, ±5, ±12 or ±15 VDC. 

Standard features include efficiency as high as 83%, an input/output isolation of 1,500 VDC and tight line/load regulation. All models have continuous short circuit protection (with autorecovery), output power protection, and include a remote On/Off control input. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the LF500RU series is greater than 1.0 Mhours. The LF500RU family is packaged in a compact SMT case (compatible with automated assembly equipment). They are available on tape/reel. 

The pin-out is industry standard. Operation for all models is specified for operation over the wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +71°C with no derating or heat sinking required. With its combination of high performance features, miniature size and economy, the LF500RU series is an ideal choice for a wide variety of board level applications in industrial & commercial equipment.
